Flasks


A large and rare flask made by Shreve and Company, San Francisco, circa 1885. This flask is 7 1/2 inches tall and weighs 12 ounces. It is perfectly plain, with no engraving or other decoration. It is marked on the bottom "Geo. C. Shreve and Co., San Francisco, Sterling," and the "bee" mark for pre 1898 silver.

A sterling flask by Thomas Robbins, London, 1821. The body of the flask is engraved with flowers and scrolls, and also has an engraved griffin crest. The bottom section removes to for use as a cup. This small flask is 5 inches tall and was probably made for a lady.
