Aa wonderful set of four Old Sheffield Plate butter shells, English, circa 1790.  These shells are in excellent condition with virtually no copper showing.  They have whelk feet, and are crested with a hand raising a hat.  5 and 1/2 by 5 inches with rolled edges.
