A very fine Irish straining spoon in the typical Irish star and feather edge pattern by J. Keating, Dublin, 1800.  This straining spoon is 12 1/2 inches long and weighs 4 ounces.  It is crested with a demi-lion out of a crown with period initials below.  Excellent quality and condition.

An Olslow pattern basting spoon by Robert Sallam, London, 1768.  This basting spoon is 11 inches long and is crested on the reverse with a lion s head.  The scarf joint is clearly visible on this spoon.

A sterling English strainer spoon by William Eaton, London, 1813.  This straining spoon is 11 1/2 iinches long.  It is engraved with the crest of a tree trunk.

A good Irish fiddle pattern basting spoon by Samuel Neville, Dublin, 1813.  This stuffing spoon is 12 1/2 inches long.  It is engraved  with a crest depicting an eagle's head (wings spread) out of a crown.

A pair of Old English stuffing or basting spoons, maker's mark rubbed, London, 1772.  The engraved crest is that of O'Malley.  The motto is Terra Marique Potens (Powerful by Land and Sea)  Very good condition.

An Onslow pattern stuffing spoon by Thomas and William Chawner, London, 1768.  This stuffing spoon is 11 1/2 inches long.  The marks are somewhat rubbed, but readable. 


A basting spoon the the feather edge pattern by John Lambe, London, 1776.  This basting spoon is 10 3/4 inches long.  It is not engraved.
