Asparagus Tongs & Forks

A rare pair of asparagus tongs by Gibson, Cork, circa 1800.  Thsi pair of asparagus tongs is 11 inches long and is crested with a pelican eating fish out of a rocky outcrop.  The sterling mark is rubbed but readable.

A  pair of bright-cut asparagus tongs, maker's mark only "T?", London, circa 1780.  These tongs are just over 10 inches long.  There is repair to a small crack, but they have not been broken and repaired.

A very beautiful pair of George III spring action asparagus tongs, probably by John Baker I, London, circa 1775.  This pair of tongs are 9 1/2 inches long and are engraved with a dragon crest.  Excellent condition.

A good pair of spring action  thread-edge saparagus tongs by William Barrat, London, circa 1770.  These tongs are 9   inches long and are crested with a lion rampant holding a flag emerging out of a crown.
