A very good starter set of Tiffany and Company sterling flatware in the luncheon size, New York, circa 1910.  There are 8 each of large forks, salad forks, soup spoons and dessert or teaspoons, together with 8 knives with Tiffany and Company stainless blades.  The knive is 9 inches long, and the large forks are 6 1/2 inches long.  Not monogrammed or removed.  A perfect set for a new bride and groom!

A superior boxed French Flatware Set for 12, Paris, 950 fine (1st standard), circa 1875-85 by Marret-Jarry Freres. The box contains a small brass plaque containing the maker's name and the following other description "Orfevres, Joailliers, Byoutiers, Rue Vivienne 16" This set contains the standard 7 pieces per place setting including dinner knives, luncheon knives,  cheese knives (sterling blades),(all knives except the cheese knives have been  re-bladed with modern stainless steel blades) 18 table forks, 12 each dessert forks, table spoons, dessert spoons and teaspoons, There are six various serving pieces including a pair of sugar sifters by the same makers. The knives are by Denis Lenoir. There are ninety pieces in total. Each piece is engraved with intertwined initials that appear to be JHC. The set is in pristine condition. Each piece is fitted into individually sculptured pockets in the wooden case. The case is oak with two lift out trays and brass fittings with an engraved name plaque with the same initials as is on the flatware.

An incredibly magnificent French Flatware set in the Art Nouveau Style (Privately designed pattern ) by Antione Laparra, Paris (First Standard, 950 fine rather than the sterling standard of 925 fine!).  This 210 piece set consists of the following breakdown:  47 table forks, 24 of each dessert forks, table spoons, dessert spoons, table knives, dessert knives, cheese knives (silver blades), 9 oyster forks, 10 wonderful serving pieces.  An unusual  plus is that each piece is individually set in its own place in two period oak boxes, each box with brass handles and gilt brass key slots, and each box with the original key.  This is undoubtedly the finest set of this style that we have offered in the 29 years of our business.   Many other photos of this set are available upon request.

A most unusual and rare George II Irish Hanoverian flatware set by various makers and dates, all Dublin 1730- 1754, together with 12 table knives and 12 dessert knives with stainless blades, the knives all London.  Details of makers and dates are available on request.  The 12 table forks are exceptional.  The knives are also exceptional.

A very good George IV flatware set crested with an Eagle crest in the Fiddle and Thread pattern, London, by Charles Eley and others, mostly 1827 and circa.  This set is in an Oak case with brass handles and a brass plaque.  The dinner knives are mostly circa 1790, crested, with  two similar ones, all with modern stainless steel blades.   The dessert knives with sterling blades and handles are by Moses Brent, London, 1802.  Eighty nine pieces total including five salt spoons.  Serving pieces in the same pattern can be added.  This set is not done justice with the photograph.  This set was used (along with others supplied by our firm) by Prince Charles and about fifty guests at a private dinner at the De Young Museum in San Francisco.

An assembled set of Georgian Old English pattern flatware for 12 by various makers, with modern additions. The basic Georgian set (picture 1) has 12 each of table spoons, table forks dessert spoons, dessert forks, and tea spoons, all crested with the head of an goat. To this basic set the original owner in the mid thirties added some modern sterling pieces to the set which are quite useful. The new pieces (picture 2) included 12 demitasse spoons, 11 cream soups, 11 salad forks, 12 butter spreaders all by Charles Fletcher of London, 1936. There area also 12 dinner knives and 11 luncheon knives, probably by I. Freeman and Company, also London circa 1936. The set also contains a number of Georgian serving pieces which includes a salad set, 2 stuffing spoons, a soup ladle, and 2 sauce ladles. The modern pieces were all crested with the same goats head crest. Full details of the makers and dates can be supplied on request. 136 pieces in total.
