Tea Caddies

Woman Silveramith:  An exquisite tea caddy by Elizabeth Godfrey, London, 1750.  This tea caddy is marvelously chased showing scenes of arches, flowers, and other decorative items.  It is 5 1/2 inches tall and weighs approximately 9 ounces.  The cover is chased and applied with a putti holding a drinking cup.  The only condition problem appears to be removal of arms in the cartouche.  Still a wonderful object for the time.
