A very fine coin silver water pitcher by Gelston  Ladd, and Co, New York, circa 1840.  This water pitcher is beautifully engraved with scrolls, flowers, and other decorative items.  It stands on four shell-capped feet.  The central panel is engraved "M. S. P, 1843".  It weighs 35 ounces.  The five-sided rim is very unusual.
